Who We Are

Ray Joustra started the company on his own in 1971 with one old truck and his own tools.

As the company grew, Ray did mostly rural, residential and small commercial jobs while establishing himself with his safe and efficient electrical installations. In the early 1990's, Ray was joined by his son Geoff, and son-in-law Terry as we became involved with larger commercial jobs such as schools, hospitals and churches. We incorporated in 1994 under the name Economy Electric lnc.

Now known as Joustra & Sons Electric, we are eager to offer our services to a variety of electrical installations and repairs.

Terry Luchies now leads our solar services and is the owner of our solar division, TLC Solar. Terry works on a number of commercial and residential designs and installations.

Geoff Joustra has become a specialist in pools and hot tubs, while with his work in the residential setting has helped to bring custom electrical installations into the homes of many.

While Ray has taken a step back from being active on the job site, he continues to consult with the company as his legacy in providing efficient and affordable electrical services continues on, 50 years later.
